Elevator machinery and components

Overview

This group covers complete passenger and freight elevators, escalators and moving walks, gearless and geared elevator machines, drive motors, control panels and frequency inverters, steel elevator ropes, cabin and automatic door systems, as well as parts such as guide rails, sheaves, overspeed governors and safety gears. Parts are supplied both for new building projects and for the modernization of existing elevators. The main buyers in this group are elevator installation and maintenance companies, construction contractors, building investors and elevator parts distributors.

At the quotation stage, rated load (kg), speed (m/s), number of stops, shaft and machine room dimensions, sheave diameter, rope construction and supply voltage are matched against the buyer's project. If certificates of conformity to standards such as EN 81-20/50 are requested, they are obtained from the manufacturer. Before loading, machine and panel nameplates, rope diameter and length, door dimensions and the parts list are checked. Materials are crated per project and shipped by container or truck directly to the construction site or the buyer's warehouse.

What we check before loading

• Project parameters

  Capacity, speed, number of stops, shaft dimensions and drive type are compared with the buyer's project to confirm the bill of materials.

• Standards compliance

  If requested, certificates of conformity and type-examination certificates for EN 81-20/50 or other standards required by the destination country are obtained from the manufacturer.

• Rope and machine inspection

  Rope diameter, construction and breaking-load certificate, as well as machine and panel nameplates and serial numbers, are checked before loading.

• Project-based packing

  Parts for each elevator are labeled in separate crates, and long parts such as rails and doors are supported against bending during loading.
